About us

Dedicated to celebrating short-form independent filmmaking, the Oslo Short Film Festival opened its doors for the first time in 2019 attracting both a local and international audience. Our vision is to highlight the importance of short films and bring upcoming filmmakers to the foreground.

Therefore, our screening programme showcases various genres and cinematic styles that cover a wide range of themes, from social issues to life challenges and the complexities of human relations. We welcome submissions from filmmakers of different backgrounds, ethnicities, and experience levels and we are bound to promote independent cinema and showcase new talents.
